Natural filling made in Denmark
Our cushion inserts are made in Denmark with feathers and down in a down-proof casing of 100% cotton. The natural filling moulds to you as you use the cushion and can be plumped up again when it needs a little air and volume.
We have chosen the amount of filling with the soft, relaxed shape we love in mind. We like a cushion that looks lived-in and changes shape as you lean back.
How to choose an insert for your cushion cover
Start with the cover’s stated measurements and shape, then find the corresponding size in the table below. Square covers, rectangular covers and round bolsters each need an insert with the right shape.
Next, think about how you will use the cushion. A soft, relaxed shape can be lovely in a cosy corner of the sofa, while you might want a fuller cushion for support behind your back. Our filling is chosen for a soft, relaxed look. If you would prefer a firmer cushion, you are welcome to ask us before choosing.
Filling weight gives you an indication of how full a cushion will feel. When comparing cushions of the same size with the same type of natural filling, a higher filling weight will generally give you a fuller, firmer cushion. Weight alone does not tell the whole story, so the figures should not be compared directly across different sizes.

The weights refer to the filling in each cushion, not the total weight of the cushion.
The round bolster
A bolster adds a lovely contrast to square and rectangular cushions. Its round shape can sit along an armrest, support your back or bring a group of cushions together on the bed. Our bolster insert measures Ø20 × 60 cm and contains approximately 1,000 g of natural filling.
